CHARLESTON, S.C.- The Citadel's Hayden Shoemake's impressive performance was not enough as the Bulldogs dropped their doubleheader matchup against Coastal Carolina, 1-6 and 1-5 on Monday afternoon.

In the No. 1 singles spot, Hayden Shoemake defeated Ryuya Ata in two sets. The first set went into a tie-breaker set, with Shoemake winning 7-6. The second set also went into a tie-breaker set. Shoemake pulled out the victory against Ata, winning 7-5.
Shoemake has started off the spring season by winning his first three singles matches.
Lucas Robins, in the No. 4 singles spot, battled with Neil O'Connor in a three-sets. Robins would take the first match in a tie-breaker, but O'Connor would take the next two.
