Bulldogs Begin Road Swing at UNCG

GAME NOTES

THE GAME
The Citadel hits the road to take on UNCG on Jan. 19 at 7 p.m. inside the Greensboro Coliseum. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+.

ON THE RADIO
All games this season can be heard live on 102.1-FM/1450-AM in the Charleston area. The voice of the Bulldogs, Luke Mauro, will be on the call.

SCOUTING UNCG
UNCG enters the game with an overall record of 11-8, and a 5-1 mark in Southern Conference play. The Spartans are coming off an 88-80 overtime victory over Furman on Saturday. Keyshaun Langley leads three players averaging double figures at 14.1 points per game. Keondre Kennedy is averaging 13.6 points per game, and a team-best 6.9 rebounds per contest.

HISTORY WITH UNCG
Thursday's game marks the 45th all-time meeting between the teams with the Spartans holding a 34-10 advantage in the series. The teams split the season series a season with each team winning on their home floor. The Bulldog victory in Charleston put an end to a 16-game losing skid that dated back to 2015.

LAST MEETING WITH THE SPARTANS
The Citadel had a pair of players score over 20 points, but it would not be enough as they could not overcome a halftime deficit in falling, 86-66, in Greensboro.

5-BLOCK A GAME WEEK
Stephen Clark had a monster week protecting the rim as he registered five blocks in both games against ETSU and Western Carolina. It is the eighth time he has blocked at least five shots in a game in his career.

ONE BETTER
Just one game of setting a new career-high, Stephen Clark did it again against Western Carolina by scoring 28 points. It is the second time this season that he has bested his previous career-high by one point.

MORGAN OUT HERE THIEVING
Elijah Morgan has been a menace on the defensive end as the graduate transfer has recorded four steals in back-to-back games. All four of his thefts against Western Carolina came in the first half.

UP NEXT
The Bulldogs remain on the road as they travel to face VMI on Jan. 21 at 1 p.m.
