CLINTON, S.C. – The Citadel wrestling team rebounding in a big way with a 31-11 victory over Presbyterian Sunday afternoon in Clinton, South Carolina.

How it Happened

Blair Orr got the Bulldogs off to a very quick start as he needed only 24 seconds to secure a fall in the first match of the day.
George Rosas needed slightly more time to give the Bulldogs a 12-0 lead. After nearly securing a fall in the first period, Rosas started on top in the second period and needed only 27 seconds of the period to secure the fall.
The Bulldogs continued to grow their leads at 149 pounds as Ethan Willis scored six points in the final two minutes for a 7-1 victory.
Just like Willis, Thomas Snipes used a pair of takedowns and a reversal on his way to a 7-2 victory at 157 pounds.
Ben Haubert used three takedowns in the first period to open up a lead and use it for a 12-5 victory at 174 pounds.
Mark Chaid got bonus points for the Bulldogs at 197 pounds as he came away with a 14-4 majority decision.
John Chesser closed out the match the same way it began, with a fall. After a takedown in the first period, Chesser started on top in the second and quickly secured four near-fall points. Just before the period ended, Chesser was able to secure the fall.
