THE GAME
The Citadel plays its final non conference game of the season as the Bulldogs welcome Chicago State to McAlister Field House on Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
ON THE RADIO
All games this season can be heard live on 102.1-FM/1450-AM in the Charleston area. The voice of the Bulldogs, Luke Mauro, will be on the call.
SCOUTING CHICAGO STATE
Chicago State enters Monday's matchup with an overall record of 6-17. The Cougars have won two of their last three games, including a 74-70 victory at Coastal Carolina on Jan. 23. Wesley Cardet Jr. leads three players in double figures at 17.1 points per game. He scored at least 20 points in four of the last six games, including 31 points at Stanford on Jan. 25.
HISTORY WITH CHICAGO STATE
Monday's game marks the first ever meeting between the two teams on the hardwood. The Cougars are in their first season as a Division I Independent after competing in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) from 2013-22.
BRENT DAVIS RETURNS
Former Bulldog
Brent Davis will make his return to McAlister Field House on Monday. Davis spent two years with the Bulldogs (2020-22). He appeared in 52 games, averaging 4.9 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.
NON CONFERENCE GAME IN JANUARY
Monday's game against Chicago State will mar the first time the Bulldogs will play a non conference game during the month of January since traveling to Radford on Jan. 2, 2014. It is the latest The Citadel has played a non conference game since the ESPN Bracketbuster game against Presbyterian on Feb. 23, 2013.
