GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Citadel dropped its first Southern Conference road game this season as the Bulldogs fell, 97-72, at Furman Wednesday evening inside Timmons Arena.

How it Happened
- Furman jumped out to the lead early as they started the game 8-of-9 from the field.
- The Bulldogs responded by getting to the free throw line and were able to cut the deficit to just points off a pair of free throws from David Maynard.
- Just as quickly as the Bulldogs cut the deficit to six, the Paladins connected on a pair of three-pointers to extend the lead back to double figures and take a 13-point lead into intermission.
- The Citadel came out in the second half and knocked down its first two shots, including a three-pointer from Elijah Morgan.
- The Bulldogs were able to keep the deficit around 10 for the first four minutes of the half, but Furman used a 9-0 to push the advantage back to 19 points.
- The Citadel had one more run at the midpoint of the half with a 10-0 run, but the Paladins closed the game making their final nine shots for the final margin of victory.

- Stephen Clark led the Bulldogs with 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the floor and 6-of-11 shooting from the free-throw line. He also added two blocks
- Clark is the first Bulldog with double-digit free-throw attempts since Hayden Brown attempted 14 against Mercer on Jan. 17, 2022.
- The 30 free-throw attempts by the Bulldogs are a season high, and the most since attempting 31 against UNCG on Feb. 10, 2022.
- AJ Smith joined Clark in double figures with 11 points.
- Elijah Morgan scored five points, and added six rebounds, five assists and three steals.
- Colby McAlister came off the bench to score eight points in just nine minutes of action.
