Basketball Heads to Wofford Saturday Night

GAME NOTES

THE GAME
The Citadel closes out its Upstate swing as the Bulldogs take on Wofford in Spartanburg on Jan. 7 at 7 p.m.

ON THE RADIO
All games this season can be heard live on 102.1-FM/1450-AM in the Charleston area. The voice of the Bulldogs, Luke Mauro, will be on the call.

SCOUTING WOFFORD
Wofford enters the weekend with an overall record of 9-7, and a 1-2 mark in SoCon play. The Terriers are coming off a 53-52 victory over Mercer on Wednesday. B.J. Mack leads a pair of Terriers in double figures at 15.6 points per game. He is followed closely by Jackson Paveletzke at 15.3. Messiah Jones leads the team at 5.4 rebounds per game.

HISTORY WITH WOFFORD
Saturday's game marks the 115th meeting between the two teams on the hardwood with the Terriers holding a 64-50 advantage in the all-time series. Wofford has won three-straight, and eight of the last nine meetings.

LAST MEETING WITH THE TERRIERS
The Citadel dropped a 65-58 contest inside McAlister Field House on Feb. 16, 2022. Stephen Clark finished with eight rebounds and four assists.

GETTING TO THE LINE
The Citadel got to the charity stripe a season-high 30 times against Furman. The Bulldogs shot 19 of their free throws in the first half. The previous high for the season was 29 free throws agianst Charleston Southern. Stephen Clark led the way with 11 free-throw attempts, the most for any Bulldog since Hayden Brown attempted 14 against Mercer on Jan. 17, 2022.
