CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel wrestling team eased its way to a pair of dual victories on Saturday, defeating Truett McConnell, 51-6, and Keiser, 43-3.

How it Happened
- The Citadel got off to the fast start as Blair Orr turned a first period takedown into six near-fall points.
- Early in the second period, Orr got the escape and turned into a fall.
- George Rosas continued the momentum with an early takedown that was converted into a fall in just 1:54.
- Dillon Roman made it three-straight falls to start the match with a first period finish.
- Ethan Willis controlled his match from the beginning as he gathered eight near-fall points in the first period on his way to tech fall victory.
- Selwyn Porter got the Bulldogs fourth fall of the match after taking a 10-0 lead into the second period.
- He got the quick escape and takedown that was converted into a fall.
- Brodie Porter followed with a major decision victory at 165 pounds. He was able to secure a pair of takedowns and secure near-fall points in each of the first two periods.
- Ben Haubert needed only 2:50 to secure a fall. He took advantage of an early takedown and worked to secure the fall.
- Mark Chaid picked up a fall at 197 pounds as he converted a second-period takedown into the victory.
- John Chesser closed out the match with a forfeit victory at 28 pounds.

How it Happened
- After a forfeit at 125, George Rosas doubled the Bulldogs advantage with a fall midway through the second period.
- Ethan Willis got a late takedown in the first period to take the lead, then rode out the second period on top. He would add a pair of takedowns in the third period for the final margin of victory.
- Selwyn Porter extended the lead with a third period fall. With a commanding advantage, Porter snapped his opponent over and quickly got his shoulders on the mat.
- Ben Haubert impressed during his match as utilized a pair of third-period takedowns, and four near-fall points, as part of a 15-2 major decision victory.
- Will Rogers got a pair of takedowns in the first period, then added another in the third for a 6-1 victory at 184 pounds.
- Mark Chaid used a quick transition to secure a fall just before the end of the second period.
- John Chesser closed out the match with a comeback victory. After falling behind 2-0 after the first period, Chesser rode out the second period on top.
- In the third period, Chesser got a quick escape and turned it into a takedown. He added another escape point, and added the bonus point for riding time for the 5-3 decision.
