CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel's men's and women's cross-country teams are set to compete for the 2023 Southern Conference Cross-Country Championships on Oct. 27 in Kernersville, North Carolina.

On the Women's Side
- At the USC Invitational, Julia Williamson was the top runner for the Bulldogs, finishing with a time of 19:59.3
- Darrian Cole posted a time of 21:04.5.
- During the Chanticleer Challenge, The Bulldogs closed out the meet with three finishing runners, resulting in no team score; Williamson led the way for The Citadel, however, picking up 22nd overall off a 21:20.10 mark in the 5k.
- Darrian Cole (22:09.67) and Kennedy DeLancy (25:55.82) rounded out the scoring runners for the Bulldogs.
On the Men's Side
- The men's team finished in the 19th overall spot at the USC Invitational.
- Owen Sharnas was the top finisher for the Bulldogs with a time of 26:06.1
- Will Ray was the second-best runner on the men's side with a time of 26:59.6.
- As a team at the Chanticleer Challenge
- , the Bulldogs finished in the fourth position host Coastal Carolina, UNC-Wilmington, and Campbell, scoring 72 points for the meet.
- Sharnas put in another superb effort as The Citadel's top runner, clocking a 25:39.05 8k time en route to a second-place finish individually.
- The remaining scoring runners for the Bulldogs -- Jack Kornfeind, Jared Campbell, Aidan O'Donnell, and Brett Cobb -- filled in from 17th to 24th.
