The Citadel returns to McAlister Field House on Friday for its home opener versus Boston College at 7 p.m. as the programs meet for the first time in school history.

Nine players including four starters return from last year's roster, highlighted by Preseason All-ACC honoree Quinten Post who averaged a team-best 15.1 points in 19 games, reaching the 20-point mark six times while scoring in double figures on 13 occasions a season-ago.

BC began the 2023-24 season with an 89-70 victory over Fairfield on Monday night with the Post scoring a career-high 31 points to go along with 11 boards.

BULLDOGS HANG WITH WOLFPACK

The Citadel trailed NC State by just six, 39-33, at the 15:48 mark of the second half before the Wolfpack used an 18-6 run to open a double-digit lead as it handed the Bulldogs a 72-59 defeat on Monday night.

SMITH SCORES IN HOME STATE

Sophomore
AJ Smith set a new career-high in points in his early Bulldogs career, totaling 15 points due in part to going 9-for-11 from the charity stripe.

The Charlotte native made just his second career start for The Citadel in his 30
th game for the Bulldogs, while also playing a time-high 33 minutes at NC State.

HOMECOMING FOR EARL GRANT
Â
The BC bench boss returns to the Holy City as the R.B. Stall High School grad was the Head Coach at The College of Charleston from 2014-2021, going 127-89 while earning an NCAA Tournament bid in the 2017-2018 season.

Grant got his collegiate coaching start at The Citadel from 2002- 04 under former Bulldogs Head Coach Pat Dennis.
