CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel's head baseball coach,
Tony Skole, announced the 2024 baseball schedule. The Bulldogs schedule features 34 home games at Joseph. P Riley Jr. Park
The Bulldogs open the season by playing the first 17 of their 34 home games, including five weekend series at The Joe.
Those five-weekend series include St. Bonaventure (Feb. 16-18), Akron (Feb. 23-25), Harvard (March 1-3), Valparaiso (March 8-10), and UMass (March 15-17).
During that stretch of home games, there is a home and away midweek against Charleston Southern on February 20 and home on February 27. The Bulldogs will welcome Presbyterian College on March 12 and then travel to the University of South Carolina on March 5.
The Bulldogs begin SoCon play with an away series at Wofford College (March 22-24), then back at The Joe with Western Carolina (March 28-30) and Samford (April 5-7). The Bulldogs will hit the road for two straight away series at VMI (April 19-21) and ETSU (April 26-28). The Citadel finishes its SoCon schedule with UNCG (May 3-5) at home and ends with an away series at Mercer (May 16-18).
The Citadel will play two midweek games against Charleston Southern on March 26 at The Joe and away on May 14, then will play a home and away midweek against Winthrop College on April 2 and April 10. The Citadel welcomes USC on April 16, then The Citadel and College of Charleston will meet twice, on April 23 at Riley Park and May 7 at Patriots Point.
The Citadel will play a non-conference weekend against USC Upstate on April 12-14. The Bulldogs will finish its final non-conference weekend with two away games at Presbyterian (May 10-11) and return home on May 12.
The Southern Conference Tournament begins on May 22 in Greenville, South Carolina.
