CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel tennis team had a successful two-day tournament against Savannah College of Art and Design on Feb. 18 at the Earle Tennis Center and on Feb. 19 at the Bacon Park Tennis Courts in Savannah, Georgia.

Highlights of Day One

• The doubles team of Noah Van Dyke and Everett Barkley defeated Mark Tryakshin and Carson O'Hara 8-3.
• Hayden Shoemake and Sebastian Kamieniecki defeated Rodrigo Zapata and Gui Sousa 8-0.
• Five Bulldogs picked up individual victories
• Shoemake defeated Tryaksin in two sets; Shoemake dominated the first set, winning 6-1. The second set went into a tie-breaker, with Shoemake pulling out the victory 7(2) – 6.
• Lucas Robins battled against Liam Stoica in a three-set match. Stoica would take the first one from Robins. Robins battled back to take set two, 6-2, and set three would end in a tiebreaker, with Robins winning 7-6.

Highlights of Day Two

• The Bulldogs swept the second round of the doubles event.
• The Citadel picked up 12 singles victories on day two of the event.
• Shoemake picked up two singles victories in rounds 2 and 3.
• In round 3, Zvonko Bencedic went up against David Lopez Cruz and won in two sets.
• Ted Bagwell defeated Gui Sousa in two sets, 6-3, 6-1.
• Tucker Hendrix picked up a singles victory against Eddie Wade with a dominating two-set performance, winning 6-1, 6-1.

Inside the Box Score

• Hayden Shoemake, Lucas Robins, Ted Bagwell, and Bradey Minnich went undefeated in singles this weekend.
• The Bulldogs won 26-of-38 matches against SCAD during the two-day event.
• The Citadel won five doubles matches.
