CHARLESTON, S.C. – The tough week for The Citadel continued Thursday evening as VMI hit a pair of three-pointers in the final minutes to hand the Bulldogs a 75-69 defeat inside McAlister Field House.

How it Happened
- The Citadel came out hot from beyond the arc as Jackson Price knocked down back-to-back three-pointers, and Elijah Morgan added a third in less than two-and-a-half minutes of action.
- VMI was able to match the shooting early, opening up a six-point advantage with just under 12 minutes left in the half.
- The Bulldogs would respond with a 9-0 run to gain a three-point advantage.
- After VMI took a one point lead with just over five minutes to play, the Bulldogs closed the half on a 15-7 run to take a 43-36 lead into the locker room.
- After neither team was able to score in the first minute of the second half, The Citadel got a pair of baskets from Stephen Clark and a three-pointer from Austin Ash to extend the lead to 11 points.
- The next phase belonged to the Keydets as they used a 15-2 run to turn the double-digit deficit into a three-point advantage with 11:24 to play.
- The teams would exchange baskets for the next handful of minutes until David Maynard would knock down a three-pointer with 1:30 to play to tie the game at 69-69.
- The Keydets were able to hit three-pointers on their next two possessions to secure the victory.
