How it Happened
- Ben Haubert got the Bulldogs off to a good start with a 4-1 decision in the opening match at 174 pounds.
- Trailing 1-0 heading into the third, Haubert got the escape to tie the match before taking the lead after the second stall warning.
- Haubert put the match away with a takedown in the final minute.
- John Chesser controlled his match for the final two periods at 285 pounds.
- After a scoreless first period, Chesser started on bottom and got the escape for getting a takedown.
- Chesser was able to secure four near-fall points to extend his lead and add the final point on the second stall warning.
- Blair Orr continued the momentum continued the momentum at 125 pounds with a dominating victory.
- Orr opened a six-point lead in the first period after a takedown and four near-fall points. He put the match away just 26 seconds into the second period with his fifth fall of the season.
- Caelan Riley picked up his first dual victory of the season as he secured a 6-1 decision at 133 pounds.
- Riley took the lead with a takedown in the first period, then added a takedown after an escape in the final period.
- Dillon Roman made it five-straight victories with a 5-0 decision at 141 pounds.
- Roman took the lead with a takedown in the first period, then rode out the second period on top. He later added a second takedown to close out the scoring in the third period.
- Ethan Willis used a pair of escapes in the first two periods to tie his match at 149 pounds. He followed that up with a takedown to take the lead on his way to the 5-2 decision victory.
