Track and Field Earned Multiple Top-Ten Finishes at JDL

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Citadel men's and women's track and field teams had a successful day at the JDL Fast Track on Thursday afternoon.
 
On the Men's Side
  • Ty Duben placed second in the 3000m run with a personal record of 8:55.55.
  • Reggie Reynolds and Solomon Ghosh finished in the top five in the weight throw. Reynolds earned second with a throw of 51-00.25, and Ghosh earned fourth with a PR throw of 48-01.75.
  • Prince Moody competed in the high jump, earning the fourth spot by clearing 6-02.25.
  • Tate Sistare leaped 41-00.25 in the triple jump, finishing in fifth.
  • Will Ray and Robert Perrecone earned finishes in the top ten. Ray ran a time of 9:05.85, placing seventh. Perrecone finished in ninth with a time of 9:10.47.
  • Mac Strunk placed ninth in the 200m with a time of 23.31.
  • Mason Draxton finished ninth in the triple jump with 37-03.00.
 
On the Women's Side
  • Gabby Shea earned the top spot in the 800m run with a PR time of 2:24.59, moving to sixth all-time.
  • The 4x400 meter relay team of Mecca Jackson, Leah Murray, Zeniyah Lawrence, and Gabby Shea ran a time of 4:12.93, finishing in second place.
  • Blythe Hehmeyer and Emily Hickey finished first and second. Hickey tied her PR by clearing 10-11.75.
  • Tatiana Corso placed fourth in the weight throw with a toss of 47-05.00
  • Zeniyah Lawrence ran a PR time of 7.86 in the 60m dash finishing in third place and moving up in the record book to the third all-time.
  • Lawrence finished third in the 200m with 26.54, moving up the fifth all-time
  • Cyla Byrd finished in eighth place with a time PR of 7.96 in the 60m dash. Byrd moves up to sixth all-time.
  • Leah Murray and Mecca Jackson finished in the top ten of the 60m dash. Murray earned sixth with a time of 7.93, and Jackson earned ninth with a time of 7.98.
  • Murray and Byrd finished back-to-back in the 200m. Murray earned fourth at 26.65, placing her sixth all-time. Byrd ran 26.68, finishing in fifth and earning eighth all-time.
  • Emma Cunningham finished in the top ten of the mile run. She earned seventh place with a time of 5:38.06.
  • Yanna Cuesta tossed 23-10.25, earning her the tenth spot in the weight throw.

The Bulldogs will compete at USC Indoor Open on Feb. 17 in Columbia, South Carolina.
