• Campbell started off the match by picking up the doubles match point.
• In the No. 1 singles spot, Hayden Shoemake defeated Damien Nezar in three sets. Nezar took the first set from Shoemake, but Shoemake took the following two sets.
• Ted Bagwell won against Gustavs Lukstins, winning in three sets. Bagwell dropped the first set against Lukstins, but Bagwell battled back to win set two. The third set played into a tiebreaker with Bagwell winning 8-6.
