THE GAME
The Citadel opens play in the Ingles Southern Conference Tournament on March 5 as it takes on Mercer at 5 p.m. inside the Harrah's Cherokee Center in Asheville, North Carolina.

ON THE RADIO
All games this season can be heard live on 102.1-FM/1450-AM in the Charleston area. The voice of the Bulldogs, Luke Mauro, will be on the call.

SCOUTING MERCER
Mercer enters the tournament as the No. 8 seed with an overall record of 13-18. Jalyn McCreary leads the offense at 15.2 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.

HISTORY WITH MERCER
Saturday's game is the 32nd all-time meeting between the two teams with Mercer holding a 23-8 advantage in the series.

LAST MEETING WITH BEARS
Stephen Clark had 14 points and Elijah Morgan added 11 in a 72-50 setback in the regular-season finale. Tony Carpio made his first start and finished with nine points and six rebounds.

FACING MERCER IN SOCON TOURNAMENT
The Bulldogs and Bears are facing each other in the SoCon Tournament for just the second time. The previous meeting happened on March 4, 2016 with Mercer hitting a shot with five seconds to play for a 71-69 victory.

RUNNING IT BACK FROM FINALE
For the first time since the 1985-86 season, The Citadel will open the Southern Conference Tournament against the same team they ended the regular season. In that season, the Bulldogs defeated Chattanooga, 82-75, in the regular-season finale, but fell to the Mocs, 69-66, in the opening round of the tournament.
