CHARLESTON, S.C. –The Citadel volleyball team won against the Furman Paladins 3-1 (23-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-23) on Saturday afternoon. This victory marks seven consecutive wins for the Bulldogs over the Paladins.

Furman started the match by taking the first set off the Bulldogs at 25-23.
The Bulldogs took the lead in the second set, 14-12, thanks to a service ace from Megan Stone.
Two kills from Mackenzie Martin and a kill from Sophie Childs grew the Bulldogs' lead to 23-19 late in the second set.
Furman made a late push to tie the set at 23-23, but it wasn't enough, as kills from Belle Hogan and Martin ended the second set at 25-23.
The third set began with a back-and-forth exchange until a 4-0 scoring run by The Citadel gave the Bulldogs a 15-12 lead.
The Citadel dominated the rest of the set with a 6-1 scoring run to the end of the third set, 25-18.

Ruffin achieved her 12^th double-double of the season and 63^rd as a Bulldog.
Jaelynn Elgert had a match-high 24 digs, contributing significantly to the defensive effort.
Belle Hogan facilitated the offense with 45 assists.
