MACON, GA. – The Citadel volleyball team fell in straight sets to Mercer (24-26, 19-25, 14-25) on Friday afternoon inside Hawkins Arena.

The Bears took an early 12-9 lead over the Bulldogs; The Citadel responded with a 4-1 scoring run sparked by a block assist by Peri Hoshock and Ali Ruffin to make it 13-13.
A kill from Sadie Gomez initiated a 3-0 run for The Citadel to give the Bulldogs an 18-15 lead.
