CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel basketball team used a 13-2 first-half stretch to open up a double digit lead over the North Greenville Trailblazers on their way to a 79-54 win on Thursday night.
Brody Fox earned his first 20-point game as a Bulldog, scoring 23 while
Sola Adebisi recorded his first career double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
First Half:
- An NGU three cut The Citadel's early lead to just two, 16-14.
- The Bulldogs answered with a 13-2 run, that included a pair of Adebisi 3-pointers, to go up 29-16 after a John Adams layup with 4:10 left until halftime.
- Eze Wali's bucket at the buzzer had The Citadel up 14, 37-23, at the intermission.
Second Half:
- Colby McAllister's second 3-ball of the game gave the home team their largest lead of the game at that point, 40-23, less than two minutes into the second half.
- A stretch of nine straight Bulldog points from Fox held the margin at 18, 58-40, with just under 10 minutes left.
- Josh Davis' corner three with 1:31 to go put an exclamation point on the 79-54 victory.
