Box Score CHARLESTON, SC - The Citadel men's tennis team dropped a heartbreaker on Wednesday afternoon in a match that came down to the final singles match as the Bulldogs lost 3-4 to the Augusta University Jaguars.

- The Bulldogs won the doubles point for the third straight match, as Teo Cariov / Ted Bagwell came back from down 1-4 at 2-doubles to win 7-5 before Hayden Shoemake / Sebastian Kamieniecki won by the same margin at the top doubles flight to clinch the point.
- Cariov stayed hot as he won again at 3-singles, in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.
- Shoemake had to work harder at 1-singles after dropping the opening set 4-6. The senior responded with a quick 6-2 second before outlasting his opponent in a third set tiebreaker, 7-6.
- Bradey Minnich and Kamieniecki each won their first sets before ultimately falling in three.

"Heartbreaker of a match today as it came down to the last singles match," said Head Coach
Chuck Kriese. "Sometimes things have to hurt badly before you get over the hump and if this team can rebound and learn from these things, I believe we can be a contender this year".
