The Citadel Rounds Out Two-Day Competition at RiverTowne Invitational

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. – The Citadel women's golf team concluded the two-day RiverTowne Invitational with a 15th-place overall team finish, logging a competitive performance across the 54-hole stroke-play event all day Monday and Tuesday at the RiverTowne Country Club.
Richmond claimed the tournament victory behind a total 869 while Coastal Carolina (872), Elon (876), Charleston Southern (878) and High Point (882) rounded out the top five. The Bulldogs slotted in at 15th off a final 998.
Megan Ikeda paced the squad with a 20-plus showing -- good for a tie at 64th individually -- while Paige Gilstrap (+34, t-75th), Maggie Parmer (+35, 77th), Naomi Huang (+45, 79th) and Sofia Vargas (+57, 80th) each contributed to the Bulldogs' final line.

The Citadel earns the team's first preview of the SoCon Women's Golf Championship midway through this upcoming month, trekking south to Hilton Head, S.C., for the Lowcountry Intercollegiate-- hosted by fellow conference mate Wofford -- between Thursday, March 14 and Sunday, March 17.
