SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- The Southern Conference released the 2023-24 All-SoCon Wrestling accolades Thursday afternoon, naming The Citadel redshirt freshman Patrick Brophy as a member of the All-Freshman squad. The league's nine head coaches served as the voting corps for the end-of-season awards.
 
Brophy, a product of Chapin, S.C., concluded the regular season with an 18-9 overall record along with a 13-3 mark in dual competition. The redshirt freshman helped pave the way for the Bulldogs to break the program win record (14), notching an impressive 6-2 record against SoCon opponents.

The SoCon Wrestling Championship is set to take place Saturday, March 9, at the Holmes Convocation Center in Boone, N.C.. The first round of matches will begin at 10 a.m., with finals scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Awards will follow at the conclusion of the final match.
