CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Citadel men's tennis team took the doubles point before winning 4-of-6 singles matches to top UNC Greensboro on Friday and earn their first SoCon win of the season.
- Teo Cariov / Ted Bagwell won 6-4 at 2-doubles while Noah Van Dyke and Lucas Robins cruised to a 6-1 win.
- Hayden Shoemake responded from a doubles loss to win in straight sets at 1-singles, 4-and-2.
- Cariov had a 2-0 day as he improved on a 6-3 opening set win to blank his foe 6-0 in the second.
- Van Dyke battled back from dropping the first set 3-6, winning 6-4 in the second. This time he won the third set tiebreaker, 7-5.
- Robins had to work hard at 6-singles as well after also falling in the first, 3-6. He responded with a pair of 6-4 second and third set wins to prevail.
