MACON, Ga. - The Citadel men's tennis team lost their second SoCon match and third of the season by one match on Monday, falling to the Mercer University Bears, 3-4.

- CIT won the doubles point in exciting fashion as Hayden Shoemake / Sebastian Kamieniecki took the top flight in a tiebreak, 7-6 (7-4).
- MER responded by taking the first three singles matches (6,3,1 in that order)
- Noah Van Dyke cut the overall score to 3-2 as he crusied to a 6-1 win in the third set tiebreaker at 4-singles.
- The Bears clinched the match at 5-singles as Lucas Robins pushed his opponent to the brink before falling, 6-7 (5-7), 5-7.
