Bulldogs Score 7th Overall at Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate in Regular-Season Finale

MIMOSA, N.C. – The Citadel women's golf team concluded the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate with a seventh-place overall team finish, registering a competitive showing throughout the 54-hole stroke-play event all day Monday, April 1 through Tuesday, April 2 at the Mimosa Hills Golf Club.
Fellow SoCon member Western Carolina locked down the tournament victory behind a total 897 while Wofford (899), host Appalachian State (934) and North Carolina A&T (940) rounded out the top four. The Bulldogs slotted in at seventh behind a final 1011.
Senior Paige Gilstrap claimed the top shot amongst her teammates off a 25-over performance, garnering a t-29th on the final leaderboard; fellow senior Megan Ikeda carded a 30-over mark, good for t-30th, while sophomore Maggie Parmer (+42, t-41st), freshman Sofia Vargas (+50, 44th) and junior Lauren Sommerfeld (+74, 45th) closed out the Bulldogs' positions.

The Citadel shifts focus to the final competition of the 2023-24 campaign -- the Southern Conference Women's Golf Championship, a three-day, 54-hole stroke play event slated for Sunday, April 14 through Tuesday, April 16 at the Moss Creek Golf Club in Hilton Head, S.C.
