INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The NCAA tabbed The Citadel Athletics executive Joni Stephens, who currently serves as the Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations as well as the department's Senior Woman Administrator, as a new member of the Division I Women's Golf Committee, enlisting the experience of the seasoned former coach for a four-year tenure beginning Sunday, Sept. 1, 2024.

"It is an honor to represent the Southern Conference and The Citadel on the NCAA Women's Golf Committee," Stephens said. "I am grateful for the opportunity to serve in this capacity as we navigate the current changes in athletics while continuing to provide championship student-athlete experiences."

Stephens, who acted as a women's golf head coach at four institutions prior to joining the executive staff at The Citadel, will participate in all NCAA championship preparation, including policy decisions and selections for the 2025 championship field.
