CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel men's and women's cross country teams will travel to Spartanburg, South Carolina, to compete in the Eye Opener College Open, hosted by USC Upstate on Sept. 6.

- Owen Sharnas finished in 17th place with a time of 20:24.6.
- Freshman Carson Diggs was the next best runner for the Bulldogs to finish in 23rd overall with a time of 20:34.
- Graduate student Emily Pierontoni was the top woman finisher for the Bulldogs at 19:46.2.
- Abigail Thiessen was the top freshman runner for the Bulldogs, with a 36th overall finish and a time of 21:35.8.
- Ayanna Gaedtke and Maggie Parker were the other freshmen who finished at 21:52.6 and 22:28.1.
