LAST TIME OUT at MERCER (1.29.25)

A wing three by Davidson made it a one-point affair, 13-12 Mercer, at the 10:31 mark.
Second chance opportunities helped Mercer put together a 10-0 run to stretch the margin to 25-14 with 4:33 remaining in the first half.
Colby McAllister hit a turnaround floater in the paint, but the Bears answered with a pair of triples to extend the differential to 31-16 on their way to a 34-18 advantage at the break.
Cam Glover hit a 3-ball two and half minutes into the second stanza, 38-23 Mercer.
A Bears' jumper extended the margin to 20, 55-35, at the 9:27 mark.
A layup by Mercer with less than five minutes to go gave the Bears their largest lead of the game to that point, 69-40, on its way to the home victory.

FIRST TIME AROUND

Back on January 1st, Samford shot over 40% from both the floor (46.8%) and 3-point land (43.9%) while committing just nine turnovers.
Both teams scored 22 points in the paint while Colby McAllister led The Citadel with 12 points and seven boards.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

For the Bulldogs, #10 Brody Fox has registered double digit points in all nine league games this year and leads the team at 16.4 ppg.
For Samford, #33 Jaden Brownell and #3 Trey Fort lead the offensive attack at 14.2 and 14.0 ppg respectively.
