LAST TIME OUT vs Chattanooga (01.04.25)
  • Glover's 3-ball knotted the game at 15-15 at the 12:39 mark of the first half.
  • The Mocs responded with a 22-9 stretch, capped off by a three-pointer which was followed by a steal and score to force a Bulldogs timeout, trailing 37-24 with 3:15 to go until halftime.
  • The Citadel trimmed the margin back to 10 but UTC answered once again to hold a 42-30 lead at the break.
  • A UTC three-point play pushed the lead to 15, 49-34, four minutes into the second half.
  • Another Glover 3-pointer stamped a 9-0 Bulldogs run to cut the deficit back to single digits, 51-43 and force a Mocs' timeout.
  • Back-to-back makes from beyond the arc by Keynan Davis, held the differential at nine, 63-54, before UTC used a 7-0 spurt to open up a 70-54 lead with 5:54 left to play on its way to an 81-68 road win.
IF THIS, THEN THAT...
  • If the Bulldogs beat the Paladins, it would be just their second win in the last 13 meetings.
  • If The Citadel beats ETSU it would break a four-game skid.
  • If the Bulldogs lose, it would be their third straight loss in Johnson City.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
  • For the Bulldogs, #10 Brody Fox is T-3 in the conference in scoring at 16.6 ppg.
  • For the Paladins, #0 PJay Smith is second in the SoCon in scoring (17.2 ppg) and 3PT% (46.5%) along with being seventh in assists (3.5 apg).
  • For the Bucs, #1 Quimari Peterson leads the league in scoring (18.2 ppg), is fourth in assists (4.5 apg) and T-7 in steals (1.5 spg).
SOCON RANKS
  • Brody Fox is tied first in steals with five after the opening week.
  • Sola Adebisi is also T-7 in rebounding over two games (6.5 rpg)
  • Cam Glover is T-8 in 3-point percentage (3-for-5).
THIS LOOKS DIFFERENT
  • The Bulldogs and Paladins both return just three players who played in either of last year's contest with the caveat that The Citadel's Christian Moore was out due to injury for both games.
  • By contrast, the Buccaneers will feature seven players who appeared in last season's matchups.
