AUBURN, Ala. – The Citadel men's tennis program will be back in action this weekend as four Bulldogs compete in the 2025 Battle on the Plains, hosted at Auburn's Yarbrough Tennis Center October 3–5.
The event features a unique miniature dual format, with each matchup consisting of one doubles match followed by two singles matches. The first team to capture two victories advances in the draw.
Four Bulldogs will represent the program in Auburn:
Stroumpis and Hardin will partner in doubles, while Beckendorf teams with Gober. All four will also compete in singles play throughout the weekend.

Saturday, October 4
Each doubles team and singles player advances into Matchups 22–23 of the Orange Draw:
Stroumpis/Hardin will face Victor Frumholz/Adam Bouyacoub (South Alabama) or Oskar Szymczak/Filippo Verdese (Lipscomb) depending on results.
Beckendorf/Gober will face Matteo Lataste/Martin Catrice (Appalachian State) or Henrique Ushizima/Facundo Perlov (Lipscomb) depending on results.
Singles (10:30 a.m.): Hardin/Stroumpis will get follow-up singles matches against opponents from South Alabama or Lipscomb. Beckendorf/Gober will face singles opponents from Appalachian State or Lipscomb.
Sunday, October 5
Opponents and times depend entirely on Friday and Saturday results.
