Bulldogs Come Up Short Against Houston Christian

CHARLESTON, S.C. –The Citadel men's basketball team battled throughout Wednesday night's matchup but fell 72–65 to Houston Christian inside McAlister Field House. HCU built an early lead, and The Citadel steadily worked its way back into the game before coming up just short in the final stretch. The Bulldogs knocked down 11 three-pointers and received strong backcourt performances in the effort.

The Citadel opened the game with active perimeter play, using threes from Braxton Williams and Christian Moore to settle into a rhythm after the early HCU run. Williams sparked the offense with four first-half triples, while Moore added timely finishes at the rim to help the Bulldogs stay within striking distance. A late three from Logan Applegate brought the score to 35–32 at halftime.
