How It Happened
- Wofford raced out to an 11-2 lead but a Fox fastbreak dunk tied the score at 20-20 just over halfway through the first half.
- The teams traded buckets for the rest of the session as a Wofford 3-pointer with :03 seconds left gave the Terriers a 32-31 edge at the break.
- The Citadel began the second stanza on a 13-4 run, capped by Adebisi three as the Bulldogs took a six-point lead, 44-38.
- A Fox layup held the edge at seven, 51-44 before a pair of Wofford triples contributed to a 10-2 spurt that put the Terriers back ahead 54-53 at the eight-minute mark.
- A timely 3-ball by Moore gave the Bulldogs a four-point edge, 66-62, with 1:29 to go but extra opportunities by the Terriers led to pair of Wofford free throws, 66-64 with 28 seconds left.
- The Terriers had a pair of fouls to give before sending The Citadel to the line with 10 ticks remaining, but the Bulldogs missed the front end before fouling Tripp on the final possession.
- Tripp calmly knocked down both, but The Citadel had a chance with 3.4 seconds remaining. Moore would get a decent look from the half-court line, but it banked off the glass, the inside of the rim and out sending the game to overtime.
- Adebisi's paint floater knotted the game at 70-70, three minutes into the extra session before making 1-of-2 from the line to go ahead 71-70 (:48 seconds).
- Wofford's second chance tip-in gave it a one-point lead as Moore missed a contested three on the ensuing possession and had to foul.
- The Terriers knocked down both from the line, 74-71, with five seconds on the clock as the Bulldogs came up empty on the final possession to fall at home.
