LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Citadel men's tennis team dropped pair of 6-1 decisions to NAIA #1 ranked Georgia Gwinnett College on Sunday afternoon.
The Grizzles have won 10 straight National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Championships and are currently on a 45-match win streak.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORES
- Ted Bagwell earned the lone point for the Bulldogs in the first match, winning his top-flight singles match in a lengthy third set tiebreaker, 1-6, 6-3, 1-0 (12-10).
- In the second match, Reece Beckendorf won the only point for The Citadel, also in a third set tiebreaker, taking his 5-singles match, 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (10-7).
- Freshmen Anthony Osipov and Nick Stroumpis got the chance to play 1-doubles in the second match of the day for the first time in their young collegiate careers, falling 1-6.

- "This is a very good team", said Head Coach Chuck Kriese. "Georgia Gwinnett has won several NAIA National Championships in a row (10 straight). These are necessary reps we need to get in to get ready for Southern Conference play."
