STATESBORO, GA. – The Citadel's mixed rifle team finished third with a score of 4,449, while The Citadel's women's team scored 4,444 to place fourth against Georgia Southern (4,729) and Air Force (4,685).
Braden Michalak was the top performer for The Citadel with a score of 1,167, finishing tenth overall in the individual standings. Michalak scored 572 in Smallbore and 595 in Air Rifle.
Emrie Fast-Clarke recorded a 589 in the Air Rifle, and
Ella Derrick for the women's team posted a 568 in the Smallbore.
"Today's match went well. It's been a long week of matches, but each time they've realized what they needed to work on and applied it. We've had a lot of personal bests in the past few days, which is exciting and is giving everyone confidence," said head coach
Claire O'Neel. "We're excited to have two weeks to fine-tune and prepare for our conference championships back here at Georgia Southern."
