MBB Preview: Bulldogs Visit Bucs in Friday Night SoCon Matchup

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The Citadel (6–14, 3–4 SoCon) travels to face ETSU (14–6, 6–1 SoCon) on Friday night at Freedom Hall Civic Center in Southern Conference play. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m and the game will stream on ESPN+.

Friday's contest was moved from its original Saturday date due to impending winter weather in the region.

Scouting The Citadel
The Bulldogs enter the matchup following a 77–75 overtime win against Furman on Wednesday at McAlister Field House, building on Saturday's road victory at VMI. Over the past four games, the Bulldogs are 3–1, including two overtime wins. During that stretch, The Citadel is averaging 76.0 points per game, shooting 81.4 percent from the free-throw line, averaging 39.0 rebounds per contest, and holding opponents to 72.3 points per game, compared to its season averages.

Through 20 games, Braxton Williams leads the team in scoring at 13.6 points per game and has converted 22 consecutive free throws over his last five games. Christian Moore is averaging 11.0 points per game and has recorded 14 games this season with at least two made three-point field goals, including multiple games with four or more. Sola Adebisi leads the Bulldogs in rebounding at 6.2 rebounds per game. Defensively, the senior has totaled 21 blocked shots this season and has recorded at least one block in 10 consecutive games. Adebisi is coming off a career-high 22-point performance against Furman.

Scouting ETSU
ETSU enters Friday's matchup following a 67–66 road win at Chattanooga on Wednesday. The Buccaneers secured the one-point victory after a defensive stop on the final possession.

Through 20 games, ETSU is averaging 77.5 points per game and allowing 66.9 points per contest, while shooting 48.7 percent from the field. ETSU averages 14.4 assists per game and commits 10.5 turnovers per contest.

Individually, ETSU is led in scoring by Brian Taylor II (14.5 PPG), Cam Morris III (14.4 PPG), and Blake Barkley (14.2 PPG). Barkley is shooting 61.5 percent from the field, while Morris has recorded 28 blocked shots on the season.

ETSU leads the all-time series 54–20, including a 74–49 win earlier this year in Charleston on Dec. 30.
