GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Citadel (4-14, 1-5 SoCon) faltered to UNCG (10-7, 3-3 SoCon), 3-0 (13-25, 18-25, 14-25), Friday evening inside Bodford Arena.

Rachel Reininger led The Citadel with nine kills and two blocks, while Jess Martin collected a team-high 18 digs. Allie Davison dished out 15 assists, and Elizabeth Miller added three kills and two solo blocks.

UNCG's Allie Sweet led the Spartans with 18 kills and 13 digs, while hitting .457. Izora Gragg tallied 37 assists and 10 digs, while Hailey Clifton posted 11 kills and four blocks. Kendall Lanclos added six kills and four service aces.

"I thought we had some good moments, but we needed a little more offensive aggression and consistency. We gave them too many opportunities with easy tips and free balls, and against a team with that many offensive weapons, that makes it tough to defend," said associate head coach Erin Kretzschmar. "There are things we can clean up, and we'll use this match to keep getting better."
