ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Southern Conference has announced the official bracket for the 2026 Ingles Men's Basketball Championship. The Citadel (10-21, 7-11 SoCon) enters the postseason as the No. 9 seed and will face No. 8 seed Chattanooga (13-18, 7-11 SoCon) on Friday, March 6, at 5 pm ET at the Harrah's Cherokee Center in Asheville, N.C.
The Bulldogs enter the postseason following a 93-90 overtime victory at Wofford on Saturday afternoon, where
Sola Adebisi scored a career-high 27 points and the Bulldogs set a program record with their fourth overtime win of the season. The victory also secured the most Southern Conference wins for the program since the 2009-10 season.
The Bulldogs and Mocs split their two regular-season meetings, with the road team winning both contests.

The Citadel defeated Chattanooga at McKenzie Arena behind four double-digit scoring performances.
Braxton Williams and Adebisi each recorded 18 points, while
Carter Kingsbury and
Eze Wali added 16 and 11 points, respectively. The Bulldogs shot 50.0 percent from the field and converted 84.6 prevent (11-of-13) of their attempts at the free throw line. The Citadel held a 16-to-10 advantage in points off turnovers and secured the win by converting 5-of-6 free throws in the final 35 seconds.

In the second meeting at McAlister Field House, The Citadel fell to Chattanooga 93-72. Williams recorded a double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds.
Christian Moore added 16 points and eight rebounds. The Mocs shot 14-of-29 from three-point range, led by 16 points each from Brennan Watkins and Jordan Frison.
