HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Citadel golf program closed out the final round of competition at the Lowcountry Intercollegiate on Tuesday, concluding the two-day tournament 15th overall on the team leaderboard behind a 178-over outing across three total rounds at The Golf Club at Indigo Run.
FINAL RESULTS
Individually,
Lola Barnett set the tone for the Bulldogs at 43-over, slotting in at a team-best t-70th for the tournament.
Madyson Riley (45-over) and
Chaela Barnett (45-over) concluded the two-day affair in a tie for 72nd overall while
Sofia Vargas (48-over) and
Teryn Dalton (55-over) rounded out The Citadel competition roster at 74th and 77th, respectively.
"We didn't have our best showing, and we all know we're capable of playing better, but one tournament doesn't define this team," head coach
Lori Bonacci said. "We'll learn from this round, get back to work, and be ready to compete the next time we step on the course."
Up next, the Bulldogs take a two-week hiatus away from the links before making final preparations for the Southern Conference Championship at the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate on March 30-31, traveling north to Morganton, N.C., for the two-day tournament at the Mimosa Hills Golf Club.
