Bulldogs Record Five PRs, Three Record-Book Marks at Duke Invitational

DURHAM, N.C. – The Citadel track & field team recorded five personal-best performances and three record-book marks at the Duke Invitational over the weekend.

"We had a solid meet at Duke against the most competitive field we've seen all season," Kut said after the meet. "The group stepped up, competed well and got a taste of a championship environment."

Men's Highlights
  • J.J. Hudson placed seventh in the long jump with a personal-best mark of 7.17 meters, moving to No. 6 in program history.
  • Jack O'Cain tied for seventh in the pole vault with a personal-best clearance of 4.81 meters (15-9 1/4), moving to No. 4 in program history.
  • Arthur Parham placed ninth overall and sixth among collegiate competitors in the javelin with a throw of 60.38 meters.
  • Jack Weil finished 12th overall and ninth collegiately in the javelin with a throw of 54.92 meters.
  • Jordan Chestnut placed 19th in the triple jump with a mark of 13.98 meters and tied for 20th in the high jump at 1.96 meters (6-5).
  • Dylan Horne placed 20th in the shot put with a personal-best mark of 14.98 meters and finished 22nd in the discus with a throw of 44.58 meters.
  • Noah Casa ran a personal-best 48.89 in the 400m.
Women's Highlights
  • Samantha Barnes placed 22nd in the javelin with a throw of 35.32 meters.
  • Cameron Martin ran a personal-best 67.63 in the 400m hurdles, moving to No. 5 in program history.
The Bulldogs return to action Saturday, April 18 at the Sharonda Coleman-Singleton Classic, hosted by South Carolina State.
