CULLLOWHEE, N.C. – The Citadel track & field team will compete Monday and Tuesday at the 2026 Southern Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Western Carolina.

Monday's schedule opens with the men's decathlon at 9:30 a.m., followed by the women's heptathlon at 10 a.m. Day One concludes with the men's 10,000m final at 7:35 p.m. and the women's 10,000m final at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday's action resumes with the multi-events at 9:15 a.m. and wraps up with the men's and women's 4x400m relays at 5:25 p.m. and 5:35 p.m., respectively. Day Two coverage will air live on ESPN+ beginning at 1:30 p.m.

"I'm really excited for the opportunity to send Coach Huddleston off on a high note," head coach Kris Kut said in advance of the meet. "We are young, but we have a chance to score in a lot of events. Even without a ton of depth, we have a group of individuals who can make some noise and earn some hardware. This has been one of the hardest-working groups I've had the pleasure to coach. We've had to deal with a lot of obstacles, but they have stepped up and are ready to finish on a high note."
