CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Southern Conference announced the league's 2026-27 men's basketball schedule Tuesday morning, setting The Citadel's 20-game conference slate for the upcoming season.

The Bulldogs will play each of the league's other 10 teams twice, once at home and once on the road, as part of the SoCon's double-round-robin format.

"We're excited about the challenge of another competitive SoCon schedule," The Citadel head coach Ed Conroy said. "Every night in this league demands your best, and we're looking forward to the opportunity to compete."

The Citadel opens conference play Dec. 5 at Western Carolina before returning to McAlister Field House for the program's SoCon home opener against Tennessee Tech on Dec. 19. The Golden Eagles will compete in their first season as a member of the Southern Conference in 2026-27.

Following a Dec. 30 trip to UNCG, the Bulldogs begin January with back-to-back home contests against Chattanooga on Jan. 2 and Wofford on Jan. 6.

The Citadel will also welcome Furman, ETSU and Samford to McAlister Field House during January. The Bulldogs close the month with three consecutive road contests, traveling to Wofford on Jan. 21, Furman on Jan. 27 and Mercer on Jan. 30.

February opens with UNCG visiting Charleston on Feb. 3. The Bulldogs will also host Western Carolina on Feb. 10 and VMI on Feb. 20 before closing the regular season at home against Mercer on Feb. 27.

The 2027 Ingles Southern Conference Basketball Championship is scheduled for March 5-8 at Harrah's Cherokee Center in Asheville, N.C.

All SoCon home games will air on ESPN+ save for those selected for a national or regional broadcast. Tipoff times and additional broadcast information will be announced at a later date.
