Biography

 2007: Will again handle the closing duties for the Bulldogs... must continue to develop strike percentage with breaking pitch... is a fierce competitor... Bulldogs must develop relief support in front of him... named co-captain for the 2007 season.

 

2006:  Continued dominant role as the Bulldogs’ closer... garnered national attention as he was consistently in the top five in saves... was named to the National Stopper of the Year watch list by the NCBWA... had a league-leading 15 saves and finished the regular season second in the nation, trailing the national leader by only two... his 15 saves set a new single-season record at The Citadel... moved into fifth place in career saves with 19... earned two saves over ranked opponents as he held off No. 3 Nebraska (2/18) and No. 17 College of Charleston... went 23.1 consecutive innings without giving up an earned run dating back to the 2005 season... finished second on the team with a 3.21 ERA as he allowed 17 earned runs in 47.2 innings of work... held opponents scoreless on 20 occasions in 33 appearances... picked up a win against Butler (3/11) as he tossed a season high 4.0 frames... recorded a career best six strikeouts twice against Butler (3/11) and LeMoyne (2/24)... played a vital role in getting the Bulldogs to the final game of the SoCon Tournament as he picked up the win to help knock out top-seeded Elon (3/27).

2005: Unexpectedley emerged to become the closer and most reliable option out of the bullpen, along with the departed Evan Burgess... led the team in appearances with 30, getting the start once against Wofford (4/2)... finished the year with a record of 6-6 with four saves and a team best 3.15 ERA... tallied 65.2 innings of work, recording 50 strikeouts, good for second best on the team... received first career win in first career appearance (2/13) as he threw four innings of relief work in the win against Charlotte... longest outing of the year came in his lone start against Wofford, as he tossed 5.2 innings... did not give up a run in 16 of his appearances, and had a scoreless streak of 6.1 innings to finish the year... set career bests in all categories, as he had not seen game action until this year... played summer ball with fellow teammate Jamie Maxwell on the Spartanburg Stingers of the Coastal Plain League.

2004: Did not see game action.

2003: Redshirted, did not see game action.

High School: A three-year letter winner at Dutch Fork High School ... listed as an all-state and all-region player his senior season ... played on the AAU State Champion Diamond Travelers and for the 2001 Junior Olympic Team ... prep teammate of fellow Bulldog Matt Arnold.
