The Citadel Athletics

2010: Started in 20 of 21 contests… finished the season with five shots… tallied two shots, one on goal, against Lipscomb (10/12)… also registered an assist in the win over Maine (8/29)… defensively aided the Bulldogs to first-time wins over six SoCon opponents… was selected to the Fall Academic All-Conference team.

2009: Played in all 19 games... logged seven shots and a career-first three assists... two assists came against Alabama State (8/30) and the other in The Citadel’s first ever road win at Georgia Southern (10/8).

2008: Played in 17 games and recorded seven shots… game-high in shots against Gardner-Webb (8/24) with three… recorded one shot against Charleston Southern (9/1)… had two shots on goal against Mount St. Mary (9/7) and one shot on goal against South Carolina State (9/17).

High School: A 2008 graduate of Wilson High School... lettered four years in soccer... three-year starter on Wilson High School boys varsity soccer team... won three state 5-AAA championships... 2008 5-AAA All-Region Team... 2008 North-South Girls’ Soccer Classic...2008 SC ODP Team and 2004, 2005 and 2006 Florence Fire Boy’s Soccer Club Team... Wendy’s Heisman nominee for 2007-08... All Tournament Team - Gilbert Pre-Season Soccer Classic... received several academic honors including South Carolina High School League Scholar-Athlete... also a two-year starter on girls’ varsity basketball team... a member of the 2007 5-AAA Girls’ Basketball All-Region Team... was a member of the 2007 Columbia United Football Club Girl’s U17 Elite team.

Born Feb. 10, 1991… daughter of Michael and Kim Hawkins… sister to Dakota... majoring in biology... her mother played in the 1982 CAWS North-South High School Girl’s Basketball Game and was the starting point guard on the Francis Marion College 1986 NAIA National Championship Squad... her uncles Tom Slawson and Mark Slawson played basketball and football, respectively, and are graduates of The Citadel.
