Biography

FRESHMAN (2015-16): Averaged 5.9 points and 2.5 rebounds in 10.2 minutes per game while seeing action in 30 games in his first season at The Citadel… Only committed eight turnovers on the season which is the 10th-fewest of any player in The Citadel history in a single campaign (min. 20 games played)… Made 38 three-pointers, which is the 11th-most ever made by a freshman in program history... Played in his first career game vs. No. 24 Butler, sinking three 3-pointers to finish with nine points in 14 minutes of action... Poured in 12 points vs. Mid-Atlantic Christian to reach double figures for the first time in his career… Played just six minutes vs. Bob Jones, but scored 14 points and pulled down five rebounds... Had the best game of his career vs. Mercer, leading the Bulldogs with a team-high 14 points, six rebounds and two assists in a career-high 28 minutes on the floor... Earned the first start of his career at Samford and tallied seven points on 3-of-6 shooting in 12 minutes... Dished a career-best three assists and collected a career-high two steals in the loss to Wofford... Set new career highs for field goals made (6) and points (15) in just seven 17 minutes against Western Carolina... Reached double figures for the sixth and final time during the season and poured in a career-high with 17 points at Furman... Made three trifectas in a game for the sixth time as a freshman with a trio of treys and nine points at Wofford....  Grabbed a career-high seven rebounds and scored eight points in just 16 minutes of action vs. ETSU.

HIGH SCHOOL: Schroeder, a 6-7, 195-pound small forward who hails from Blacksburg, Va., was a standout at the Miller School of Albemarle in Charlottesville, Va. Averaging 14.2 ppg and 4.3 rpg he lead the team in scoring and was named to second team all-district in his senior season.

Schroeder topped the 20-point plateau on seven occasions as a senior including a season-high 27 points against New Covenant in late November. Among his standout performances included a three-day stretch in the Benedictine Tournament where he averaged 19 ppg and 44.2 percent from the field en route to capturing tournament MVP honors.

Ranked among the top 40 players in Virginia for both Phenom Hoops Report and Vantage Hoops as both a junior and senior.

Earned Gatorade Beach Blast Tournament Most Valuable Player honors as a sophomore in 2012 for IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) and was part of the Junior National team. In 2013 Schroeder was selected to the All-Star Team for East Coast Fusion at the Big Shots Myrtle Beach Tournament and the All-Star Team for Hoop Group Elite Camp.  

Played on the AAU circuit for the East Coast Fusion and reached the 2014 AAU National Championship in the 17U bracket. East Coast Fusion ranked third in the Commonwealth of Virginia among travel teams for 2014 according to Vantage Hoops.

PERSONAL: Full name is Connor Aaron Schroeder ... parents are Tracey and Dr. Aaron Schroeder ... also earned two letters in tennis as a junior and senior in high school ... pursuing a degree in biology.
