2008: One of four Bulldogs to earn Southern Conference Pitcher of the Week honors... finished the season fifth in the Southern Conference with 87.0 innings pitched... made 14 appearances on the season, starting 13 games... pitched 6.0 innings in relief against Delaware (2/24), holding the Blue Hens scoreless and hitless while walking three and striking out three... proceeded to not allow a walk over the next 29.1 innings pitched... allowed four runs on nine hits in 6.0 innings pitched against Wright State (3/8), striking out six... struck out six two appearances later as he allowed only one run on nine hits in 9.0 innings pitched against Furman (3/22)... his streak of not allowing a walk ended against Appalachian State (3/29) as he walked four and struck out four in 4.1 innings pitched, allowing eight runs on 10 hits... walked a career-high five batters in 6.0 innings on the mound at Wofford (4/6) as he allowed only one run on seven hits with three strikeouts... allowed one run on one hit with four strikeouts and three walks against Davidson (4/12), earning Southern Conference Pitcher of the Week honors for his performance against the Wildcats... struck out five in 8.0 innings pitched against Western Carolina (5/10) as he allowed two runs on eight hits... started the Southern Conference Tournament game against Wofford (5/20), allowing three earned runs on six hits and striking out three in 6.0 innings pitched.
2007: Made 17 appearances and threw a team-leading 104.2 innings pitched... amassed a 4.64 ERA and a 6-6 record... started in all 17 appearances, the second-most number of starts a Citadel pitcher has made in school history... had gone at least 6.0 innings in 10 consecutive starts (beginning last season) with that streak ending against Richmond (2/16), going 5.0 innings against the Spiders... opened the season with six-inning, six-strikeout performance against East Tennessee State (2/9), allowing only three runs... only allowed four hits in 7.0 innings of work and did not allow an earned run while striking out seven in 5-4 win over James Madison (3/2)... tossed his third career complete game against Elon (3/23), allowing three runs (two earned) off eight hits while striking out three... earned a 9-1 victory while throwing a complete game against Georgia Southern (5/11), striking out three and did not give up any extra-base hits... that win against GSU marked his first positive decision since facing Eastern Illinois (3/16)... went 13.0 innings in two appearances in the Southern Conference Tournament with an ERA of 1.38, earning wins over Davidson (5/22) and Elon (5/26)... went 6.0 innings against 10th-seeded Davidson in the tournament’s opening round game, striking out seven, walking four and not allowing a run... only allowed two runs in 7.0 innings of work against Elon in the SoCon Tournament semifinal game while striking out two and propelling the Bulldogs to the championship game for the third time in four years.
2006: Earned role as the Friday night starter as a freshman... garnered 15 starts in 15 appearances on the mound... in first collegiate start, he did not allow a run in 6.0 innings of work while giving up four hits and fanning six Richmond (2/17)... first collegiate win came against Butler (3/10), the same night head coach Fred Jordan picked up his 500th career victory... tossed two complete game victories, the first coming against UNCG (3/31) as he allowed only two runs on nine hits while striking out six... second complete game came against Appalachian State (5/5) as he gave up one earned run on five hits and matched his career high eight strikeouts... went 6.0 plus innings in every start except for one... had the best ERA out of The Citadel’s starting rotation with a 3.88, good enough for ninth in the SoCon... ended year with a 6-2 overall record... finished eighth in the SoCon in walks allowed with only 24 on the season... held opponents to a .278 batting average.
High School: Graduated from Wesleyan Christian Academy where he played baseball, basketball, soccer, and was also a member of the swim team... named all-state, all-conference, MVP, and North Carolina High School Player of the Year in 2005... senior season hit for a batting average of .692 and also threw three no- hitters... member of NC Stars, number one team in the nation in 16U AAU... also played for the On Deck O’s who were a top-10 team in the nation in 18U AAU.
