Biography

2006: Gained valuable experience as the back up catcher last season... has the ability to create some offensive slugging percentage within this lineup.

2005: Saw the most extensive playing time of his career, appearing in 31 games, getting the start 18 times... started one game as the designated hitter, getting the other 17 starts behind the plate... finished the season batting .268, while tallying 19 hits in 71 at bats, shattering his career at bat total which was nine coming into the season... drove in a career best 19 runs, while scoring 15 ... hit two doubles with one coming against Longwood (4/12) and the other against NC State (5/11)... also went deep three times, including his first career long ball against Western Carolina (3/26)... other homers came off of Wofford (4/3) and Charleston Southern (4/24) hurlers... had a three-hit game against Wofford in game two of a double header (4/2), while getting two hits in four other contests... had a personal-best three-game hitting streak spanning from game two of the Wofford double header (4/2) through the South Carolina game (4/6)... recorded a fielding percentage of .993 behind the plate committing only one error on the season, while also throwing out four base runners.

2004: Started two games behind the plate, but saw action in nine as either a defensive replacement or as a pinch hitter ... scored two runs and drove-in two in only six at-bats ... reached base twice via the base on balls and once on a HBP ... tallied one sacrifice bunt ... RBI came against Chicago State on 3/3 and Charleston Southern on 3/23 ... scored runs on 4/7 and 4/18 versus Charleston Southern and High Point, respectively ... played for the Thomasville Hi-Toms of the Coastal Plain Collegiate Baseball League.

2003: Saw limited action as a pinch hitter ... hit .333 in three at-bats ... his first career hit came on 4/5 against Coastal Carolina ... tallied five putouts as a defensive replacement behind the plate ... was named to the 2003 summer all-star team as a member of the Carolina Clippers of the Southeast Collegiate Baseball League.

High School: Was a four-year letter winner at Spring Valley High School ... was honored as all-region, all-area, and all-state during high school career ... won the South Carolina High School League Scholar Athlete Award in 2001.
