2007: Slated to be The Citadel’s left-hand specialist out of the bullpen... had a very good fall... improved strike percentage with all pitches... could pitch his way into multiple innings... outstanding student and leader on and off the field... spent the summer playing for the Spartanburg Stingers of the Coastal Plains League.
2006: Made four appearances for a total of four innings, all in relief... recorded strikeouts against Princeton (3/4) and Winthrop (5/3)... held Princeton hitless and scoreless for a frame en route to a 14-1 Bulldog victory... made an appearance against nationally ranked South Carolina (4/19)... pitched a season high 2.1 innings against UNLV (3/17).
2005: Made eight appearances, including five starts... tallied 25.1 innings of work and recorded 22 strikeouts... had two outings of at least five innings... registered a five inning affair in start against Longwood (3/13), his lone win of the season... went 5.1 innings in relief against Davidson (5/1)... struck out a career high seven batters in the Longwood start, while also not giving up a walk... played with fellow Bulldog Link Saunders on the Spartanburg Stingers of the Coastal Plain League.
2004: Started four of 12 games he pitched in ... finished the season with a 1-3 win-loss mark and an earned run average of 6.85 ... struck out 15 and walked 13 in 22.1 innings of work ... lone win of the season was a five-inning affair against Winthrop on 3/24 ... fanned three and did not allow a run, while surrendering only one hit to the Eagles in first collegiate start ... struck out a career-high four on 3/31 versus Charleston Southern ... did not allow an earned run in six of his 12 outings ... struck out three batters on three different occasions ... played for the Florence RedWolves of the Coastal Plains Collegiate Summer Baseball League.
High School: Honored as the 2A Player of the Year by the Spartanburg Herald Journal in 2003 as a senior at Chapman High School ... helped lead Chapman to the 2003 Upper State Championship ... earned all-state, all-region and all-conference laurels ... played in the North-South All-Star game, while also being named to the All-Academic Team ... tallied 152 career prep strike outs, while setting the school record for strike outs in a single game with 17.
