ENTERING 2022-23: Leading returner in 3-point field goal percentage with 39.1 (36-92) and possessing the second-most starts among returners with 15… lone returning player among graduate students from 2021-22… 304 career points, 110 rebounds, 47 assists, 22 steals, .439 field goal percentage (97-221), 40.1 3-point field goal percentage (61-152) between four seasons at Colgate University and one at The Citadel… played in 81 career games with 15 starts, the latter of which all came at The Citadel.
 
GRADUATE STUDENT (2021-22): Made the first starts of his career in 15 of The Citadel’s last 16 games of the season, while playing in 29 games… posted a 39.1 3-point field goal percentage (36-92) to lead all returning players, making a season-high four at VMI on Feb. 12 en route to the Bulldogs’ first road win over the Keydets since 2002… averaged 18.2 minutes per game, while tallying 6.5 ppg. with a .430 field goal percentage (55-128).

AT COLGATE UNIVERSITY: Played in 52 games from 2017-21... totaled 116 points (2.2 ppg), 47 rebounds (0.9 rpg), 14 assists (0.3 apg), 13 steals (0.25 spg), 45.2 FG% (42-93), 41.7 3FG% (25-60), 58.3 FT% (7-12), 443 minutes (8.5 mpg)... Raiders reached the Patriot League Championship every year of Maynard’s career, winning in 2019 and 2021 to secure NCAA Tournament bids… program combined for 82 wins, including 24 in 2018-19 and 25 in 2019-20… as a senior played in 2021 Patriot League Championship game against Loyola on Mar. 14 and NCAA Tournament game against Arkansas on Mar. 19… majored in Molecular Biology & Spanish… two-time Raider Academic Honor Roll..

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Herriman High School (Herriman, Utah)… Named first team All-State as a senior after averaging 23.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game… finished career as a two-time All-State honoree after garnering second team honors as a sophomore… two-time team captain who wrapped up high school career with career marks of 16.4 points and 4.7 rebounds per game… named a Utah 5A All-Star as a senior.

PERSONAL: From Herriman, Utah… full name is David James Maynard... son of Mike and Julianna Maynard … has two brothers and four sisters... married to the former Abbi Becht... Business Administration major.
