SCOUTING REPORT: Matt has been a pleasant surprise in how well he plays the game of basketball. He has a great understanding of what we are trying to do, and he has shown he can play both inside and out. When Matt plays really hard, he has all the tools to be one of the best post players in the league. He is an excellent leader with a super attitude.
JUNIOR (2009-10): Averaged 16.3 minutes over the first 11 games of the season ... one of 11 players on the Bulldogs roster to convert at least one 3-pointer, finishing 2-of-11 from beyond the arc ... hit his first trey of the season against Maryland Eastern Shore (11/22) ... netted a season-high five points, including a 1-for-2 outing from beyond the arc, in a 67-53 victory over Central Connecticut State (11/29) during the CollegeInsider.com Skip Prosser Invitational ... grabbed seven rebounds, six on the defensive glass, in 33 minutes of action against Davidson (12/3) ... had a string of four consecutive contests with a start that began against Georgia Southern (12/5).
SOPHOMORE (2008-09): Came off the bench and scored 37 points ... grabbed six boards in a season-high 19 minutes of action at Charleston Southern (11/25).
