SENIOR (2015-16): Finished his career with 824 points, 341 rebounds and 135 assists… Averaged double figures for the first time in his career, posting 11.3 points per game… Played in all 32 games and started 31 of them, more than any other Bulldog… Reached double figures 18 times during his senior campaign and scored at least 10 points in 12 consecutive games from Nov. 21 to Jan. 2… Recorded five 20-point performances in his final season after not reaching that mark at all during the previous three seasons… Tallied eight points and three rebounds in the season-opening loss to No. 24 Butler... JUNIOR (2014-15): Remained a steady performer for The Citadel as he closed the season averaging 6.0 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 25.1 minutes per game … made the most single-season starts (25) in his career as he finished 59-of-144 (.410) from the field and 47-of-70 (.671) at the free throw line, a career best … an impact player on the defensive end, Marshall came away with 93 rebounds (61 defensive), 14 steals and 11 blocks on the season … committed the most personal fouls on the team (76), however was only disqualified from only three games … opened the season by playing all 40 minutes and finishing with 12 points (4-7 FGs) and five rebounds against VMI at the All-Military Classic … made 17 straight starts between a Nov. 25 contest against Florida State and a Jan. 31 game at Chattanooga … topped the double figure mark five times in the 17-game stretch, including the first double-double of his career (17 points, 10 rebounds) against Samford on Jan. 8 … in 33 minutes against the rival Bulldogs he hit 6-of-10 from the floor, 4-of-5 at the charity stripe and climbed the glass for 10 rebounds (five offensive) … two games later, in a win over Wofford, Marshall again topped double figures (11 points), knocking down 5-of-6 field goals, to go along with six rebounds … set his single-game high against league foes when he notched 14 points (5-10 FGs / 4-6 FTs) in a home setback to Furman … tied that mark nearly a month later in a 14-point, three-steal effort against VMI when he closed 4-of-8 from the floor and 6-of-6 at the free throw line.
SOPHOMORE (2013-14): Played in all 33 games, making 14 starts, averaged 6.8 points and 3.0 rebounds per contest while shooting 44.2 percent (88-199) from the floor … notched the second double figure outing (10 pts.) of his career during The Citadel’s 30-point victory over North Greenville … in his first collegiate start at Navy he responded with eight points, four assists and three rebounds in 20 minutes … followed that outing with a start against Gardner-Webb … registered nine points, five rebounds (three offensive), one block and one steal in the Dogs’ clash with crosstown rival College of Charleston … started the first of 12 straight contests at Radford where he tallied 10 points on 6-of-8 shooting at the free throw line … set his career-high points (17) and total rebounds (six) in 42 minutes of action during The Citadel’s overtime thriller at Wofford … finished 5-of-7 from the floor and 3-of-6 from the charity stripe to go along with five rebounds while logging a career-high 43 minutes at UNCG … shot a collective 12-of-16 from the floor against Appalachian State to complete a pair of 13-point outings … tallied 11 points, two assists and two rebounds in his final start of the season against Wofford … vital reserve for head coach Chuck Driesell during the SoCon Tournament victory over UNCG as he chipped in five points and grabbed two boards in 23 minutes of action.
CANADA 2013: Came off the bench to score four points for The Citadel during the three-game trip … finished 2-for-4 from the floor and was a perfect 2-of-2 at the free throw line … snagged three boards, including two offensive.
FRESHMAN (2012-13): Logged 252 minutes in 23 games during the season, climbing the boards for the third-most offensive rebounds (12) of any Citadel freshman … came off the bench and snagged four rebounds in his collegiate debut against VMI … key reserve in head coach Chuck Driesell’s rotation against Union (Ky.) as he finished with season highs in points (12), field goals made (five) and field goal percentage (.833) … established single-game season-highs in offensive rebounds (three) and minutes played (27) at Gardner-Webb … capped off the season with an eight-point, five-rebound performance in the Southern Conference Tournament against Western Carolina.
HIGH SCHOOL: A late commitment to The Citadel, Marshall joined the Bulldogs from Charis Prep School in May … a native of Raleigh, N.C., Marshall graduated from Leesville Road High School in June 2011 … led Charis Prep School to a 35-4 record in 2011-12 … averaged 15 points and seven rebounds per game at Leesville Road before averaging 17 points and eight rebounds a contest at Charis Prep … played for coaches Roderic Brewington (Leesville Road) and Carlos Peralta (Charis Prep).
PERSONAL: Full name is Quinton Elliott Marshall … son of Susan and Lamar Marshall … has two brothers (Cameron and Edmond) and a sister (Shahon) ... father played basketball at West Virginia State and cousin Shenise Johnson starred collegiately at the University of Miami before joining the San Antonio Silver Stars of the WNBA … also considered Delaware State before making his decision to attend The Citadel … one of two players on the Bulldogs roster, along with Lawrence Miller, to hail from North Carolina … majoring in physical education.
